Nostalgia always tends to kick in when one has too much time on one's hands.
Old games can sometimes beat the shit out of all the new titles nowadays.
They really, really don't make games like they used to. Now most companies are just so focused on cranking out the most graphically gorgeous games (wow, alliteration there), gameplay has become a distant second on their priority lists. Explains why I find most of the old games more fun to play, despite the fact that they've probably been played to death already.
Game requirements are also currently going through the roof, but that's old hat; let's not beat a dead horse.
As the ol' saying goes: show me a man who does not touch games and I'll show you a dead man.
BTW, I think the latest round of movie price increases is total BS. Why not just hand over our entire wallet next time we watch a movie? Much less fuss that way. Hey wait, might not even cover the entry fee.
To all the cinema operators involved in this mob pricing scam: say hello to Mr Pirated DVD, you assholes.
