Well the second half kicks off, with or without my approval. I haven't made any changes yet, because I still think that the guys I have out there have enough quality to turn this match around.
However, I have changed from a 3-4-3 formation to 3-1-4-2 formation, swapping men around so that effectively I sacrifice an forward slot for a sweeper, who is currently patrolling in front my back four.
Despite my instinctive desire to do so, I've had to rein in my attacking instincts, because I know biding my time is more important now. I'd love to aim for an instant reduction in the deficit, but my opponent knows that too, and there's nothing to kill off my chances quicker than being caught on the break.
How am I going to score goals, you wonder? Truth be told, I honestly don't know, either. That's right, I have no idea how I'm going to claw my way back into this match. However I do know one adage taught to me by an old friend: patience and faith.
Faith is the essence of believing in something without having any reason whatsoever to do so. I guess that makes me a very faithful man right now.
But before I can even sit my reluctant ass in the dugout, I'm on my feet again as my playmaker slips a scything pass through their static defence. However, just as my striker is about to bear down on it, the 'keeper manages to run over and hammer the ball away for a throw-in.
Wow. And here I was thinking it would be an excruciatingly boring second half.
Stay tuned.
Prison gates won't open up for me On these hands and knees I'm crawlin' Oh, I reach for you Well I'm terrified of these four walls These iron bars can't hold my soul in All I need is you Come please I'm callin' And oh I scream for you Hurry I'm fallin'
Show me what it's like To be the last one standing And teach me wrong from right And I'll show you what I can be Say it for me Say it to me And I'll leave this life behind me Say it if it's worth saving me
Heaven's gates won't open up for me With these broken wings I'm fallin' And all I see is you These city walls ain't got no love for me I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story And oh I scream for you Come please I'm callin' And all I need from you Hurry I'm fallin'
Show me what it's like To be the last one standing And teach me wrong from right And I'll show you what I can be Say it for me Say it to me And I'll leave this life behind me Say it if it's worth saving me
